Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is an Mexican singer and musician born into a family of musicians. Her early years were spent listening to classical music, old boleros, as well as traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana enjoys tangos and drama and opera. Following her singing lessons with mom, she started more serious singing lessons at the age of 16 under the guidance of the renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. Her musical education continued through the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. As a student and when she was a professional young in Mexico City and Guadalajara she was a member of several chamber ensembles and choruses. When she moved from Mexico to America at the age of 2000, she sang for the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She currently performs the traditional Latin American songs at private concerts as a singer. Passion and enthusiasm for art, music, and performing keep her engaged with many local organizations as a performer and teacher. Ana has been a participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, with her performance songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she will inspire a love, especially for the young generation, for keeping this music in the present.
