Rosalia
Rosalia Vila is an Spanish flamenco singer and pop artist. As a teenager she sang both in traditional and popular music. But, her singing interests have broadened to include soul, hip-hop and hip-hop. Pepe Habichuela has described her vocals as being crisp and sweet but having a bit of bite. Following her debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned the singer a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist the follow-up album for 2018 El Mal Querer was a major critical and commercial breakthrough making it to the top of Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart and eventually receiving a Grammy. In 2021, her single La Fama with The Weeknd came out. Motomami featured songwriting partnerships with a variety of artists, including Cory Henry, James Blake and many others. The album was released on March 20th, 2022 after the show on Chicken Teriyaki by Saturday Night Live. Rosalia did her solo performance for the first time ever on the program. Motomami's Rosalia, who won The Latin Album of the Year and 3 Latin Grammy Awards in total for Motomami was also the first female to win one.
